Barcelona, Spain Trip 2024

We are pleased to be able to offer our students the wonderful opportunity of a 4 day trip to Barcelona in Spain.

Our travel company has managed to get us a very good deal on this 4 day, 3 nights trip.  

This trip is being provided by our Spanish and Geography departments so it is especially helpful if students find these subjects of interest.  It is also strongly recommended for Art students as well as it involves visiting some beautiful architecturally interesting buildings and museums.

Date: Tuesday 26th March to Friday 29th March 2024

Price: £599, deposit of £100 payable through your ParentPay account.

Deadline for all payments : 2nd December 2023

Students and staff will travel by coach to the airport, then fly to Barcelona. Students will stay in bed and breakfast accommodation in Barcelona.

Trips:

Parc Guell - Designed by artist Gaudi, situated on the edge of Barcelona, these beautiful parks and gardens are mixed with architectural buildings created by Gaudi.

Poble Espanyol - A culture and leisure destination for young and old alike, offering amazing architecture, art, traditional handicrafts and more.

La Sagrada Familia Cathedral - The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família, shortened as the Sagrada Família, is an unfinished church in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. It is the largest unfinished Catholic church in the world.

Cosmo Caixa Science Museum - This large science museum offers a full indoor rainforest experience as well as a geological wall and exhibitions about the Big Bang Theory. It is a fully interactive science museum.

Nou Camp Barcelona FC Stadium - Home of Spanish football club Barcelona. This magnificent stadium is the largest in Europe and students will get a tour of the stadium and the museum where they can admire the trophies won by the club over the years. 

Chocolate Museum and Workshop - Museu de la Xocolata or Museo del Chocolate in Spanish, is a private museum in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, owned by the Gremio de Pastelería de Barcelona. As well as the museum, students will also get to make their own chocolate in a full workshop session.

This trip has replaced our cancelled Lanzarote trip, if you would like to book a place, please visit your ParentPay account and look for the Barcelona trip, where you will be asked to pay your £100 deposit and also enter in some consent information

Students will stay in Bed & Breakfast accommodation for 3 nights. Price does not include lunch, evening meals or spending money. Price does include coaches to and from the airport, air travel, admission to the above trips and accommodation in Spain.

Students must have an in date passport with a minimum of 6 months left to run from the end of trip date. Students should have a EHIC or GHIC European Health Insurance Card. These are free online to apply for.

Please bear in mind that the flights may be subject to change in order to keep to our quoted price, this may be a day or two either side of the quoted date above.
