The Turing School Trip to Amsterdam

The Turing School Trip to Amsterdam

Well done to the 30 students who took part in the eSports trip to Amsterdam over the last 3 days.

It was certainly an early start on Saturday morning when students left school by coach at 2.30am. They headed to Dover and took the ferry to France, where they drove on to Amsterdam, arriving by lunchtime.

That afternoon, they visited and got a tour of the Johan Cruff arena football stadium before heading to their hotel for their evening meal and a well-earned early night.

They ended the day with a few rounds of golf at the crazy indoor neon golf course.

Day 2 started bright and early with a morning trip to the NEMO Science Museum where students got to take part in weird and wonderful experiments and wacky interactive exhibits.

In the afternoon, students headed to the main event, the H2O Arena, the European capital for eSports. Students took part in challenges and workshops.

During the evening, the party ventured out to dine and enjoy the sights of Amsterdam.

On the last day, students visited the Van Gogh Museum before enjoying some shopping time in Amsterdam.

After lunch, it was time for students to hit the road and take the coach back to France to catch the evening ferry home. Students arrived back at school in the late evening.

All had such a great experience, and we were very impressed to see them all back at school the very next day.

Well done guys!
