Farm to Fork College Trips
For the last two Fridays, we took 60 year 7 students over to Plumpton College for a day looking at the farm and the cooking facilities they have on site there.
The students got to tour the farm and see the animals and the dairy parlour and some were lucky enough to see a calf being born. They got to make a two-course meal with a professional chef in a master-chef-style kitchen, and then we all sat down and enjoyed the food together. The Prept Foundation is a charity that wants to help all young people learn where their food comes from and how it gets to your plate. We were really lucky to be sponsored so we could experience this with our year 7 group and the day was absolutely fantastic. #theturingschool #farmtofork #plumptoncollege
