BBC Journalist Inspires Year 11 Students!
Year 11 students benefited from a visit from BBC Journalist John Young who delivered an Employability Skills Assembly.
Our guest motivated and inspired our Year 11 students regarding the qualities an employer looks for from a prospective employee. Top of the list is 'evidence of qualities' which can be explained via a short story, e.g. a young person relating their perceived qualities to real life events, explaining them via a short description; a brief story about yourself. Making yourself relatable, and evidencing qualities is a top skill employers are looking for during interviews, whether online, or face-to-face.
Students were attentive, with some engaging in a small interaction to encourage confidence and resilience to reduce anxiety.
