Swale Science STEM Event

The Turing School at the Swale STEM Event

Three lucky Year 7 Science students headed to The Whitstable school in Kent to take part in the Swale Science STEM Event.  Students competed against other Swale schools in building Lego models which were designed to help solve problems in the oceans.

They heard from a Marine Biologist about the problems our oceans face from pollution to melting ice caps.

The students enjoyed the day, and although we didn't win this time they were highly praised for their work.
